I am a 46 yr old wife, mother, attorney and triathlete. I live in rural North Carolina. I made some significant changes in my body and nutrition last year but this year is MY YEAR - 2012. I am going to act like I have already achieved my goals. I am going to BE the person that I want to be - no more waiting. The scale does not determine my mindset - it is a tool. Food is fuel and I feed my body the best fuel for high performance. I can accomplish anything that I set my mind to do. No more waffling between food plans or becoming overwhelmed. I doing this once and for all - YES!

Fitness Minutes: 45

My Goals:
Pick a plan and follow it. My next re-evaluatin of plan will be Feb. 5.

Fitness competition by 12-12-12.

Food is fuel. Eat Clean, Train Hard. No excuses.

To practice stress reduction daily!

My Program:
Monday - legs/triceps(Heavy) 40 min steady (Low)
Tues - 30 min HIIT 30 min steady(Low)
Wed - 45 min steady(Low) chest,biceps
Thurs - 30 min HIIT 30 min steady(Low)
Friday- (med) light legs back/shoulders 45 min steady
Sat - 30min HIIT (Low)
Sunday - rest(High)

Personal Information:
When I turned 41 -completed my first triathlon - came in first:) Have done several 70.3 triathlons, but looking for another challenge - so I am going to train for a fitness competition in 2012.

I will succeed! :)

Other Information:
My husband is my soul mate and wonderful supporter in every thing I do - sometimes crazy things. He keeps me grounded. My daughter is a teenager - need I say more? I enjoy travelling and visiting family - siblings all over the country :) Really enjoy working out but finding balance is sometimes difficult.

    Hey Stella - it has just been a crazy whirl wind for the past few months. Did a competition in October and November. Loved it, but didn't place as I hoped. Back to training now for future competition in September or Octobr - trying to build up more muscle. Training to run a 10k in March also. My son left for Marine boot camp early January so I am dealing with that, but he is doing good - just received his first letter. We are contemplating moving towns... and work is so busy. Whew! I try and use SP to unwind, but some days I don't even log in! Other than that - all good.

    You know, if you want to compete - go for it. There will NEVER be a perfect time to do it....ever.

    emoticon This last week for me has been really high on fat:( Realized after talking to Carolyn on Friday, that I had been forgetting to take my flax oil since Sunday.....I was craving fat all week:/ We are doing GREAT Stella and your post on the challenge was SPOT ON, finally we realize our goals are attainable and we are shooting for them....I am sooooo pumped!!!!! It is going to be a bit hard once the challenge ends, it's tough, but I do like posting every day......makes me accountable......helps me say no. Like tonight we went out to eat with my daughter and her family....I got chicken fajitas w/no rice, beans or flour tortillas....why.....I knew that tomorrow we will be weighing in.....and not just because the main weigh-in is tomorrow, I had went out earlier in the week, you feel someone is counting on you to stay on track. Oh wow, sorry for the book;) WE SO GOT THIS GIRL!!!!!
