VALERIEMAHA
"Thich Nhat Hahn found me in 2002. I owned his book, "No Birth, No Death" for ages before my brother pushed it off the shelf one night and I said, "There is no birth, there is no death. There is only transformation." Since then, I've listened to his CD about love and sent both it and Thich's compliation ot my experiences, a philosopher and eastern religion expert. His comment, "Nice binding." Indeed. About a month ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Claude AnShin Thomas, the walking monk who lived for a few years with TNH. He transformed from a Vietnam veteran with addiction and suicide problems to a mendicant in the cause of peace. I'm glad to have found all of you. My smile is a blown dandelion..." I LOVED finding this post of yours from about a month ago on the TNH Team. I normally only go to the TNH Topic (the one with 1680 posts).
Besides bowing deeply to Thay's wisdom (he is a 21st Century Buddha!), I also have the greatest of admiration for Claude Anshin Thomas. I have his book, At Hell's Gate: A Soldier's Journey from War to Peace, on my wish list. I first learned of him through a long article about him in Thay's newsletter, The Mindfulness Bell (which I highly recommend).
Anyway, I wanted to give you a shoutout! I'm going to send you SparkMail as well, since I notice there are no posts on your SparkPage since May.
