A new year and time to update my Spark Page.

My highest weight was 189 pounds and my health was suffering. Here I am four years later and down forty pounds but a few of them have found their way back. My goal is to lose a few of them by the summer of 2008.

I do have a problem though, I'm on meds that make me gain weight so the battle is to eat well, exercise and hope to combat the effect of the meds on my body.

I live in Toronto, Ontario with my two dogs and three guinea pigs. I have two daughters and five grandchildren.

I joined the YMCA in April 2007. I take more walks with my dogs Meisha and Theo who love to walk. These days I have been walking to my daughters house which is two miles from mine.

My Goals:
Your health is a very important part of your life. My goal is to have my health, keep my weight down to where I'm happy and enjoy life.

this summer (2007) I'll be off for six weeks and plan to spend a lot of time outdoors and walking the pounds away.

My Program:
New for 2007: Walk my dogs, yoga, swim, use my swiss balls and my skipping rope to keep in shape. Pilates is the newest thing for me.

Personal Information:
I'm divorced and live in Toronto, Ontario. For 5 1/2 years I have belonged to a gym but struggle to go there some days. I love to swim, yoga and walk my two dogs. At home I'm trying to have as much fitness equipment around so the grandkids will join me and have some fun.

Other Information:
I love to read John Saul, Steven King, Mary Higgins Clark and much more.

I also love to learn and believe you're never too old to learn. My latest course is "Natural Health Consultant" which I am really enjoying and learning from.

    I LOVE the pictures of you and Romeo. That picture of him eating out of a cup is hilarious! When I was about 45 ( better late than never ) I, too, had a guinea pig. He was so special. I was glad to read that you had some too.

    Thank you for e-mailing me and inquiring about my Father. He is in Rehab at a local nursing home and seems to be doing OK. He is 90 and has other problems so don't know how much we can expect. I thank you and agree with you that we do need more awareness/education regarding Strokes.
