I am a 60+ women who needs to lose over 250 LBS. over however long takes to get it off and make the changes permanently to my diet and lifestyle to keep it off. I am married, with 2 adult sons, a daughter-in-law and a Granddaughter who are very supportive of my goals.

My Goals:
Lose 2 LBS a week. Increase my daily water intake daily. Start an activity program I can do from a sitting position due to severe Spinal problems that cause pain with activity. Decrease my shortness of breath with just minimal activity.


My Program:
Increase water intake every day. Measure all my food I eat, and track it



Personal Information:
I am a Retired RN who is married to a Retired Army/ Air Force Officer. We live outside Colorado Springs in Falcon, Colorado. We have 2 adult sons and a daughter-in-law and Granddaughter. My health forced me to retire from Nursing at 57, and it seems like it has only gone downhill since I retired 5 years ago. My plan is to get some of this weight off and hopefully see some improvement in my general health! I still have plans to do things and go places since I am retired, but I have to be in better health to do that!


Other Information:
I am an avid Crocheter, and Love crocheting Baby Blankets. I have made Baby Blankets for many Family Members that have become heirlooms for them. I also love to read, and enjoy doing games and jigsaw puzzles with my little 5 yr. old Granddaughter. I also Love to read to her as well. I use to love to cook and bake, but am now having to teach my sons and daughter-in-law since I am physically unable to do this anymore due to endurance and I am on Oxygen all the time and cannot be around the heat of the stove or oven. My husband and I had hoped to travel in retirement some, but so far we have not done very much of this due to my health. I am praying it will improve as the weight comes off. I am Catholic and Love to go to Mass when I can with my family. We are a close Family since we have spent so many years with just the 4 of us while my Husband was in the Military and we lived away from family.

    Thank you for your comment on my blog! I live in Jeddah, on the Red Sea, been here 30 years, my husband is American. There are about 100 "workers" on the compound and every single time I walk out my front door, they all stop and stare holes through me. I am the only "Western" woman on this compound who doesn't cover at all. I just don't trust these guys.

    Thanks for commenting on my blog. It's nice to think someone actually reads something I blather on about. I too have greater then 200 lbs to lose. It's a long road and so easy to lose focus. I'm currently down about 60 lbs. Good journey. emoticon
