I have been on Sparkpeople for many years. I have had some big successes here and some small. In the past I have lost 70 pounds eating dairy free and grain free due to allergies, and I have also lost 20 or 25 pounds on the Keto eating plan here and there. I gained it all back not sticking to my plan as part of my lifestyle. Recently I was at my highest weight ever and I knew I had to get serious and stay serious for good. I have had some health challenges and life challenges that have contributed to my weight gain. I have tried about every type of plan out there and have come to the conclusion that everyone has to find what works for their body. I have recently recommitted to the Ketogenic diet which for me must be a lifestyle. In all the plans I have tried this one works best for me. Not only do I lose steadily on it, when I stick to it, but I feel the best physically, and mentally when I eat this way. I feel I have finally found what works best for the body mind and spirit, and I am thrilled and excited for this journey to better health and a more vibrant life!!

My Goals:
To lose half my body weight, to climb a mountain again, to ride on a roller coaster again, and life a vibrant life to the fullest, in a body that can be as physically active as I want it to be.




My Program:
Follow the Ketogenic way of eating
Walk daily
Swim 3 to 4 days a week
Add in Bodygroove and Yoga

Mom, wife, twin, sister, friend, musician, Christian, loyal, compassionate, good listener, perseverer....I never give up!

Other Information:
I love music, many kinds, listening to it, singing it playing it. It fills my life with joy and ministers to my soul. I love to read books about health and fitness, and I also enjoy historical fiction, and all kinds of biographies, but especially about the lives of people who have done great things and missionaries. I love the outdoors, all of God's creation, the mountains, the ocean, and doing anything outdoors. I love camping, hiking, mountain climbing, bird watching, walking, exercising, canoeing, figure skating and travel. I love doing those things with my husband and sons as well! My husband and children and I lived in Eastern Europe as missionaries for 15 years. It was an amazing experience and I still miss living there.

    My granddaughter is fine. Her COVID test was Negative and she has gone back home (San Antonio). We really enjoyed having her here. My computer is great now. Thank's for asking.

    I'm doing good, how are you? I have been wondering about you. You did great on your weight loss this week. You are emoticon Tell me what you did to get there. I knew you were strong.

    I have a sick g-granddaughter visiting me for the summer. I took her for the COVID 19 test last Wed. 7/21/20. We should get the results today, I hope. She is 17. Her Systems are different than older folks. Headaches, stomach hurts and hot and cold. Low grade temps.
