I'm a 5 ft 3 in.,35yr old mother of 2 from Western PA. I've always been self conscience of myself. I come from a family of overweight people, with a lot of health problems. So, I've always tried to keep a handle on my weight. So far, I only have one health problem. It's a heart problem called Tachycardia. It's a fast and irregular heart beat. This is why I have to get in better shape and start eating better. So my goal is to loose more body fat, and gain some more muscle.

My Goals:
1. Put on more lean muscle and drop body fat.
2. I also what to learn how to start running. - Goal met 8-08
3. Start lifting heavier
4. Earn my black belt - Goal Met
5. Finish a book

My Program:
1. Do atleast 4 days of power walking or jogging

2. Lift heavier weights

3. Do 45 min. of shotokan karate 2-4 days a week.

I'm a mother of 2 wonderful children, who both are active. My son who will be 10 in March "09", plays soccer, and already wants to join the My 14 yr old daughter runs cross country. I just hope i can set a good example for them.

I'm still taking karate and always working hard on that black belt training. Man it felt good to earn that belt. Everyday is a new learning experience.

Other Information:
I love to read, after the hubby and the kids go to bed, i sit down with a good Stephen King or John Saul or Douglas Clegg book. Love their book. I also love to work on my karate, play on the computer and play with the kids or read my oxygen mag.

    Yes, I did like the shark. The guy at the fish counter said it tasted like swordfish (which I've never had so now I'll have to try that :-) ). I thought it tasted a little like chicken. I cooked it on the grill with no marinade and ate it with a little bit of lemon juice spritzed on it. I may have overcooked it a bit but it was good. I will definately have it again.
