2010 - Thought it was time for an update! I have lost 60 pounds so far. Yeah, I took it slower than some but that's okay because I really didn't feel like what I did will be hard to continue doing or hard to maintain. If there is a birthday I will have a piece of cake darn it all! I just won't have more than one piece! Looking back at my original post, I remember how it felt to weigh 233 lbs. It hurt! It was physically uncomfortable and emotionally unbearable. I remember not wanting to go out in public and always wearing jackets when I did! I didn't want to catch up and visit with old friends because I didn't want them to see how I looked. How sad is that?! The good news is that that is not me anymore. I am now in pretty good shape. I recently did high knees for 3 minutes straight in a fitness test! When I first started I barely made it to 20 seconds! I have energy, and I have had to buy new clothes multiple times! I am very close to being the same weight as I was in college...and soon high school! I don't know what I will look like once I get to my first goal of 160 pounds and you better believe I am excited to find out! I read that old profile post from 2008 and I see that I said I "let my twenties slip by" and that is true - but not all of them did. I am still 29 and I have made huge progress already. I am on the final push to reach my goal before I am thirty. I am going to have the most amazing life! Come on sparkers - do this thing up with me! Let's rock it!
----------------------2008 - Hello all! I am a 27 year old fun loving and hard working girl that is just sick and tired of not fully enjoying life!
I have been married for four and a half years to a wonderful and supportive husband. We have no kids and no pets, so I guess that means no excuses!
I am weighing in at 233 pounds (enough of that!) with my first goal weight being 160 pounds. I just started a "30 day Plan" to get a handle on things NOW and I feel better already. It will be really good because the whole idea is to train yourself and develop new habits.
I'm looking forward to reaching my goal weight with all of you. If any of you are looking for a support buddy, so am I....
Starting to actually enjoy my 20's before they slip through my fingers is ESSENTIAL. Let's get this thing done once and for all!

My Goals:
I want to be healthy so that I can be with my family and friends for a long time! I want to lose over 70 pounds.
My focus will be on consistent exercise, better portion control, and more water intake.

My Program:
I follow WW's for food but I use Spark for accountabilty and motivation.
I just signed up for a 10 week bootcamp!

Personal Information:
I grew up in good old Saskatchewan (Go Riders!!) but have lived in Alberta for the last 10 years.

Other Information:
Some of my favourite things are: hanging with my husband/family/friends, movies, music, reading, playing sports........
