My Goals:
My main goal is to fit in my old clothes. I'd like to be a size 4. I want to be healthy and fit. BMI between 18.5-24.9 (for my height that means 100-136 lbs) I'd like to get back into my old cheerleading shape but that is going to take a lot of work! So far I'm doing really well so I'll keep adjusting my goals as time goes on.

My Program:
I follow a loose translation of the Mediterranean/Sonoma Diet. The reason I like this particular lifestyle is that it goes along with my natural eating tendency= less meat, lots of fish, olive oil, fruits, vegetables, and red wine!

1. only drink water, coffee, green tea, and small glass of red wine

2. can only eat meat/chicken once per month

3. don't eat after 8 pm

4. no fried food, no buffets, no fast food

5. 9 hours of sleep per night

6. 1 hour minimum of exercise per day (combination of bike riding, jumping rope, dancing, swimming, walking, going to the gym, etc.)

7. daily multivitamin

8. don't go more than 3 hours without eating something small

9. Eat power foods daily-
* Almonds
* Bell peppers
* Blueberries
* Broccoli
* Grapes
* Olive oil
* Spinach
* Strawberries
* Tomatoes
* Whole grains

Personal Information:
I stopped weighing myself and lived in denial for years. When I stepped on the scale and saw that my short 5'2 frame was carrying 160 pounds, I burst into tears. I can't live this way anymore. Obesity, high blood pressure, depression, high cholesterol- all of it runs in my family.

Other Information:
I love the show "I Lost It"! It helps to motivate me. Also a fan of the Biggest Loser and Celebrity Fit Club. I love watching the transformations!

    Im so jealous at how aewsome your doing, seriously!!! Thank you for the vote of encouragement. I am in limbo right now, still waiting to gather all the info and hear back from my gyno. I have a Dr appt with my primary the end of the month so I guess we'll see after all that. For now, Im just trying to watch the carbs :( I am also going to get back on here and get serious again...I REALLY have to try hard now with this newly found inhibitor...we'll talk more about it later, keep up the good work!!

    LOL! lets just say 20lbs is what I'm willing to tackle right now, and I'll reassess the rest when I get there. I'm carrying a lot of arm and leg muscle, so I'm not sure how much toning the mid-section (the part I most to change) is going to drop me down in terms of pounds. but as you know, you have to work on the entire body to get results in the one area that bugs you most ;) hope you are having a great week.

    Thanks, I wrote the intro :) But I did hear about The Secret a few weeks ago on Oprah. Then, I bumped into Lisa Nichols (one of the creators of The Secret) a few days later!!! Far from coincidence :) I think I'll put it on my list for the spring.

    9 hours, seriously? Its probably been over a year since I've gotten that much sleep. I consider myself fortunate if I can squeeze in 7. How do you do it??
