Hi, My name is Shannon

I am a work in progress!!! And let me tell you....I need a lot of work! I am determined to get this weight gone. So....I am going to put my head up and my feet down and get er' done. HERE I GO!!! Seems to be really hard to get the weight off, I keep going the wrong direction. I CAN DO THIS!!!

I love anything sweet especially chocolate and ice cream. I am having a really hard time getting control over all of those sweet teeth getting in my way. Can we say BIG struggle! I need to develop those will power skills that I hear so much about, is it possible?

I want to lose weight for my health; health of my knees, my back, my hips and my mind, not to mention the rest of me. I am doing this for myself; HECK! we all need to be selfish once in a while, don't we?

10 reasons I want to lose this weight

1. Because I AM WORTH IT!!!
2. Keep cholesterol in control without medication
3. To look and feel pretty to both my hubby and myself
4. To no longer be in so much pain; knees, back, ankles, hips
5. To feel comfortable in my own body
6. To have CONTROL over my eating
7. To get back into my smaller clothes that have been sitting in my closet for way to long.
8. To be an inspiration to others.
9. To be able to take care of others without feeling exhausted.
10. General Health.

Knuckle down. Buckle down. Do it! Do it! Do it!

Nutrition plan:
watch calorie intake and stay within my range of 1200-1500 per day.
nothing is off limits.
moderation is key.
Work on eating less sugar and junk food.
Work on eating more fruits and veggies.

Activity plan:
To walk at least 2 days a week.
Get on the treadmill, even if it is for only 10 minutes at a time.

My name is Shannon, I am 52 years young. I live in Brownsville Oregon with my husband Bret. We have no kids and no pets. And we have a great life together, well most of the time anyway.

I love walking with my friends, being out in my garden and spending time with my family.

Dear Shannon,

Thank you so much for commenting on my page 25 days ago. I am so sorry for not replaying sooner I am such a flakey friend lately. We have been having some struggles here with my health and everyone's but Jeremy's pain struggles. Duane has intense pain from falling 12 really almost 15 feet from a project in our yard in 2015 same time as we were trying to comes to term with fact that we were going to lose Kurtis at some point. Duane broke his back and now has rods and such. He is in constant pain and luckily Jeremy does about 85% of the yard mostly he mows the lawn, weed whacks every other week. Well he did as he moved out on Sunday during a tanturm because he was asked to go out and do his weed whacking. I did what you told me long ago I did pick my battles as he left I didn't try and stop him. He has now lost a ton of benefits that he would of had to age 26 with not even having to do anything also a average amount of life insurance he knows this but just doesn't care. Sorry to vent, Melissa is always in pain with her Spina Bifida complications and they can't do anything for it just always telling her it is your Spina Bifida She could go in for an hang nail and they would tell her the same thing. She is always pushing herself to a limit. She is slowing losing feelings in her legs they last a shorter and shorter amount of time. She already has a w/c for long distance like amusment parks extra. She is a awesome adult kid. I love her so much and I love Jeremy too. It is just that he if more complicated by far. Not to worry at least he made the choice and I didn't have to send him to a group home in a year of two as he is distrubin more and more anger issues.

On yeah. I am missing Kurtis. I have lost 25 pound during the pandemic crazy huh. everyone else arround on social media says that they gained weight. I

We can only appreciate the miracle of a Sunrise if we have waited in the darkness. So with that being said, the sun is going down, the moon will be coming out so darkness will be here shortly. Sweet Dreams and May you enjoy tomorrow's (Monday) Sunrise.
