Tough as iron, and working on smoothing out my imperfections. I tend to overdo it because I'm so stubborn. 110% my Finnish Sisu to blame for that. Powering on against all obstacles, I will persevere. 11/16/2020 - heart is doing much better. Very few episodes which is great. Still struggling with exhaustion, but plugging along. I don't have energy to really ramp back up the exercise, but I am maintaining short walks regularly. 10/23/2020 - my aFib has started to simmer down a bit. Not sure if it's been being idle, or diet changes. I will be doing labs and a stress test at the doctor's. Having a bpm at 240 while walking was not normal. But I have been back on the treadmill this week. Feels ok so far. 9/2020- struggling with an Afib and exercise conflicts. I am noticably progressing with weight loss, but it's not easy being so exhausted. Onward and upward! Breaking walking records. Hit 2.5miles with no pain. Woot!! 8/2020- doing much better with increased endurance and a bit more energy. The treadmill is paying off for sure! Slowly losing weight, but I can see great changes in my face, arms, and legs already. Happy to be moving forward! 6/2020 - still plowing on after complications from the blood clot, two pulmonary embolisms, resulting in an AFib and lots of cardiology appointments. But I've been walking trying to regain muscle strength as I'm only 6 months out of my brace and still experiencing swelling. Just last week I finally broke a mile without significant pain. Hoping my recovery will be better than anticipated by my surgeon. 10/2019 - Broke my leg really bad àt the end of August. Had surgery and got myself some hardware. Been back in the ER twice for a pulmonary embolism resulting from a blood clot in my injured leg. Because of my current situation on crutches, my back has worsened and I'm now even more immobile. I realized that the last month I've gained weight and that the opposite of what I need to do. So back to the food logging I go. 5/2019 - In October I had a devastating setback in the gym. A over zealous trainer really put a toll on me and undid the months of physical therapy and effort I had put into recovery. The winter was even worse with upsets in schedule, home life, and ever increasing pain, I fell back to emotional eating and slipped into depression. But, I'm back. 🤷 I'm about to shed 200 lbs of emotionally abusive baggage and I'm ready for a new start, and to challenge myself to get back to where I was and beyond. Started my Spark journey on 6/25/18. With another trip to the ER this last April followed by months of physical therapy I decided that it's time to shave the weight and work on strengthening my back and core to reduce the pain from damage in my low spine. It's been almost 2 months and I've lost almost 20 lbs and feel better than I have in years. I have just begun a transformation that I hope will kick start a new beginning for me.

Yes, I do love my family from afar and sometimes I'm laughing and sometimes I am crying because I do love them and I just plain don't understand, so I pray!!! Oh, by the way, sometimes I do eat popcorn and laugh my behind off!!!

Good morning! It has taken three months of sugar free and now adding 45 minutes of gentle exercise daily to see CONSISTENT results. (Yesterday was my 8th day of exercise in a row.) Luckily I read a book called "From the First Bite" that warned me to hang in there for 90 days. Now I have a ton of energy, I've seen a huge difference in my thought processes - I'm much less negative and critical, I sleep like a baby through the night, I don't have ANY cravings for the bad stuff. I have a general sense of health rather than my old norm of half sick. It's amazing. I've wanted this for so long, it's hard to believe I actually feel this way every day, now. I'm SO motivated to stay with it.
