Nov. 2020: I lost momentum during 2020. What a weird world right now. I am ready to get my healthy lifestyle back. When I stop being active, I lose mobility. SO I AM BACK TO BEING HEALTHY!!! I have joined the Biggest Loser Challenge and I am on the Beautiful Amythist Butterfly team. I am excited about having fun while getting healthy.

Hi, My name is DJ. I have a wonderful husband of 37 years. We have 3 really cool, adult kids, a lovely daughter-in-law, and 4 energetic grandkids.

I started on spark people somewhere around 2009. It has been a wonderful journey to better health and a happy life. The tools are amazing especially all for free. Thank you, SparkPeople!

My exercises are focused on a stationary bike, YouTube workouts for strength training, and stretching tape called Callanetics from the '80s. I also have started an app called "just 6 weeks" that includes sit-ups, push-ups, planks, dips, & squats. I struggle with consistency but love feeling great. I try to add fun activities like Hula hooping, walking, line dancing, Zumba, belly dancing, mini trampoline, swimming, yoga, and anything else that is fun. I still am not consistent as I would like to be, but I am learning how important it is to take care of myself.

By the way, I am from Northwest, Florida. I love the beach, paddle boarding, water skiing, and boating during the summer. Winter is a little harder but love walking & swimming at a local pool.

LOL. So many things to do and not enough time to do it all.

My Program:
Exercise is my pivot point. Everything goes well if I exercise. Trouble is I am not an exercise lover. Although I am TRYING TO LEARN to really enjoy it and the results. Everything is so much easier when I am fit. Working on getting muscle back. Not easy, but so worth it.
