Hi! Shelley here.

April 21, 2016 - UGH...diabetic! Only have myself to blame. Save yourself folks and take your physical condition seriously!

March 2015 - Let't try this again! Sigh...

November 2014 - Knee replacement...ouch! Things are getting real now.

May 2013 - I've been gone...way too long...and it shows! I have to change things for myself, my beautiful new twin grandbabies and my knees! I just have to do it!

January 2012 - Going the right direction finally! Maybe there's hope, but you probably shouldn't model your journey after me. At least until I get my journey right. LOL!

August 8, 2011....There are just no words! 180 pounds! That's where I am now! AGAIN!

January 28, 2011....STARTING OVER!

October 2010.....I am disappointed in myself. I have now gained back almost 20 lbs. of the 30 I had lost and now it is do or die time! My goal date of May 2011 is looming nearer and I won't get to where I wanted to be but I can still make a difference. So, I am here to say that I will not give up. And...I start again!!

June 2010.....I had lost a total of 30 lbs. but as of now have gained at least 10 lbs. back. Definitely discouraging but I am still trying to get back that 'spark'. My daughter's wedding was scheduled for this month but she has postponed until May 2011, so I have a while yet to work on fitting into something I like. I'll keep on striving to my goals!

October 2009....I've lost 25+ pounds now with the help of Sparkpeople and the friends I have made on here. I can't believe how much better I feel than I did before. And, I'm loving how my clothes are fitting. Now, I am ready to lose the next 20 pounds. I probably could have been a lot closer now if I had made proper choices. The weekends are my downfall but I am taking responsibility for that. I (no one else) chose to put unhealthy foods into my mouth. I (no one else) chose to not do my exercises. I am responsible for me. I know what I want and how to get it so ultimately I am responsible for doing what it takes. I am the only person who can make that happen. Will I always choose correctly? Probably not, I'm human - but I will just try again and move forward.
