I want to stay motivated and maintain a healthy lifestyle so that I can enjoy my retirement & travel with my DH. I've seen too many people retire and then just go downhill, energy and health-wise. This CAN be the best time of my life but it'll take work and commitment. I want to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Diagnosed with breast cancer 12/23/2007, surg. in Jan. 2008. I remain cancer-free! I do have Fibro and arthritis but try hard not to let them stop me.

Love my husband who is retired from the Navy and was a Merchant Marine for awhile. We're enjoying retirement in Central FL. I have a great son and sweet DIL who live in FL, too. We have a new rescue Lab as of 6/17 that we named Tess. She has a feline sister, Sedona who is 12 yrs old and has epilepsy.
Love to read, garden, do yoga, walk, and my friends & family. I do volunteer work at a local Genealogy grp and also at a Lab rescue called Houndhaven, Inc.
I'm also a Mammosite Volunteer in FL as a resource for breast cancer patients who will be or have gone thru Mammosite radiation.

I hope the house gets done ahead of time too.For you and your dog. It will be so nice to have a yard. It's raining hard off and on today, with high winds in-between storms. Crazy type of wind. You remember that lol. I thought somebody's roof was going to blow off and fly east.
Or, my biggest fear, a tree falling over. So far that has happened here. Oh, I see some birds eating in the backyard. Die hards lol. The rain doesn't seem to bother them, and it is raining pretty hard.

On days like this I do a power walk with Leslie Sansone's or Jessica Smith. I get in a few steps anyway lol. emoticon

emoticon for the gift for Paul, Deena. He just was called back to the job he had around Thanksgiving. They laid him off sometime in December because it was slow. He was the first one called back, the day before his birthday. He said it was the best gift.

I was suppose to take him out to eat at his choice of restaurant, but when he came last night to go, my stomach was killing me. I don't know what's up, I eat enough fiber. We will postpone it until during the week. I felt so bad. He ended up going home and falling asleep. He had to be up at 4 a.m. for work. His friends are throwing him a birthday/superbowl party tomorrow. I told him I wanted the car tomorrow and he told me about it. I didn't have the heart to interfere with that, so he will come Monday night to take me grocery shopping.
