To be better. I don't want to jump around in the 180's any more and want to gaze upon the beauty of the 170's then the 60's. 2012 is my year. I will no longer make excuses or be complacent about my health. I am taking charge and doing it. This is the last year I make a New Years Resolution to be healthier.

December 2012 - This year I moved to Maui (yep, Hawaii) to accept a job I have been applying for, interviewing, and filling out paper work for almost a year and half. I love it! Since the big move I am without a scale but the last time I stepped on one I was the lowest I have ever been but I think I have gone back up. 2013 I will finally put this monster to bed... I'm so close I can taste it.
January 2012 - I have done a full week of calorie counting (and I only went over one day and only by 50 calories... that is huge!). This is my comment for the new year is to stay on the tracking wagon and see where it leads me. After a week I have dropped 4lbs! I'm not expecting that kind of lose every week but it was nice to see it happening.

May 2011 - Over the last year I have lost 20 pounds and have kept it off (that is always the hard part for me). I am not done yet. Over the next few months I want to lose the 15 - 20 extra pounds I'm still carrying around.
What I have learned:
That weight lose is a pain in the a$$. Counting calories. Fitting in workouts. Stepping on the scale. Checking in with Sparkpeople (but some times that's fun). Drinking water. Waking up early to get that workout in. Planing my day around my meals. The list goes on and on. BUT... (you knew there had to be a "but") It is worth it. To feel good about myself. To accomplish something a used to think I could never do. Not having a stomach ache from too much sugar, food, you name it. To be healthy.
When you really think about it, when you really want it, when you can really see yourself better than you are today; then it's not so bad to get off your butt and get moving.

My Program:
I will be logging anything that enters my mouth. It's a pain but it works.

Visiting my family team page everyday. For our challenges and updates.

Run 4-5 times a week. Plus strength training. Currently I am using a calender online to change it up a little bit.

Personal Information:
I live in beautiful Lahaina, Maui but under this tropical reality I often dream of Bellingham, Washington with my heart in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I work as a high school English teacher with some of the most amazing students ever. I have a wonderful husband and a pretty pittie that both keep me active.

    Thanks for stopping by my page! I'm very glad you checked YouTube and the BeFit in 90 workout program. The BeFit page has also other great videos, I like especially those with Denise Austin, and the Envy Girls.
    I've been following the BeFit in 90 program for 10 days now.
    I like it because it is fun, and achievable when being a bit challenging, but not too much; I don't feel completely discouraged at the end of a session like with Tae Bo or Julian Michaels (tried both before, but they are too hard for me for the moment.)

    Good luck with BeFit! Please keep me posted!
