What a blessing that we have Spark People. Thanks to Chris for creating this wonderful site!!

It's me time in my life now. I have two grown kids. And a dog I love. A couple of cats and a kid in grad school round out the house. I am back in school, and just about finished with my associate degree. I like to play guitar and sing. It's time for me now. Time to be healthy, happy and fit.

In the past I have set weight goals for myself and have not met the numbers. This time is different. My goal is to get to a place that feels right. I'm not really starting over. It's a new year, a new day, and time for a new me.

My Goals:
Brand new year earns me a fresh start:
With the help of Zumba, get to a nice weight that feels right for me.

With the help of eating healthy, get to a nice weight that feels right to me.

With the help of the workout DVDs I own, do 3 hours a week of fun fitness at home.

Instead of strict goals, this feels right for me to say what I want. It is not a number. Just a feeling. I know how I will feel when I am the right weight.

My Program:
Inspired by Fat Smash. 4 - 5 small meals per day. Tofu, beans and 3 ounces of fish or chicken for protein. Lots of fresh fruit and fresh vegetables.

300 exercise minutes a week.

Stay off the scale except for once a week (Yes, I am a scale addict)

Accept the fact that I will have days when I go off plan. I will move on and go right back to my program as soon as I can

Treat myself with respect and honor myself.

Do not look at myself in disgust and say "You are fat", "You blew your diet", "You are weak".

Instead, treat myself with love and acceptance, and know how beautiful I am.

See myself as lovely, with a pretty face and a nice figure.

    Good Monday to you San!! Yes I love to do those 30min workouts which I am hot by the end of some them cause they are a little intense. I did do Kendall's Boot Camp & let me tell you, I thought he was a wuss?! Boy was I wrong!! LOL I love Tommy Deters Kickbox, Sara Ivan Yoga & Ellen Barrett Yoga & I like Belly Dance with Aubre. On December 28th FitTv will be shaking things up with a new schedule. I am a little scared cause I love Cathe & would hate to lose her during the hours I can do her but we will see.

    Thanks for your comments. I walk 3 miles, 4x per week (about 60 minutes) and 1.5 miles 3x per week (about 30 minutes) I also am working on a stability ball to do my situps and crunches and stretching my legs good. I really am energized and feel so much better.

    I do know about those 30 pound lap dogs too! But my two together now don't weigh 13 pounds!! Sure hope you have a great day and we will stay in touch and get this journey in full swing!!
