Fifty pounds ago, I would say to myself: I wish I were more athletic. I wish I could play volleyball, or hike or whatever it was that I wanted to do at the time. Then I made up my mind to become more athletic. I completed my first Triathlon this year! It's been a long journey. I still have 70 pounds to lose. I'm still working on my eating. The important thing is that I can do any athletic activity that I want to do now. I'm not on the sidelines wishing anymore. I'm here doing it.

New Goals 10/08/13:

Faster 5k pace: beat 34 mins. Run a 10k. Faster Triathlon time: beat 2:02 hrs.

Maintain healthy eating: follow the Zone. (I feel my best eating this way)

My Program:
I'm working out 5 times a week. Strength training 4 days a week. At least 30 mins of cardio a day. Swim, Bike , Run at least once each week.




Personal Information:
Here are the things I've learned so far:
1. I like to exercise. I never thought that that would be something that I would ever say. I look forward to exercise. I actually crave exercise when I miss a day.

2. Eating healthy is a choice I make every time I eat. There is no magic formula, diet, or pill that can make that choice for me. I have to do it, I have to be disciplined, I have to want to make the right choice.

3. I have recognized that I associated having a good time with consuming food. These two things do not correlate to one another. I can do one without the other. I can also recognize when people around me make the same association. This is a big deal, and a huge step toward improving my relationship with food.

4. I am working through a lot of emotional baggage without the help of coping skills that are detrimental to my health i.e. cigarettes & food. This has helped me tremendously. I feel that this is the most important step.

    Hey stranger lady! I miss you! looks like you have been a busy bee this summer! Go you! You just amaze me with everything you have accomplished you are great inspiration!

    I have been well kinda took it easy this summer with the baby. Now I am back into the swing of things back on the diet and working out, feeling good.

    It has been such a blast to watch Lilah grow so fast these last 5 months and she just gets more fun everyday! I hope we can get together sometime so you can meet her!

    I am glad you are still doing well! I miss seeing your updates on how much ass you are kicking! lol I am anxiously waiting to finally meet her she should be here soon! I am looking forward to being able to walk without being tired haha.

    We will def have to get together for a walk after she is here!
