Introduction Text It's been a while since I been on here. I have completely lost my focus and threw myself into my work. I have gained weight in the past year and a half. I then lost about 25 pounds, only to gain most of it back. I'm in the process of losing it again, and so far have lost about 16 pounds. Recently, I have been having problems with my gallbladder. I've had 3 attacks in less than 2 weeks. The third time I went to the ER, because at that time I didn't know what it was and was worried about appendicitis. However, I was advised that it is my gallbladder. After reading a lot online on the subject of gallbladder health and gallbladder attacks, I decided to change my diet to try to lower the risk of having those attacks. For those of you have have never had one, it's the worse pain I've ever felt in my life. WAY worse than labor! So, since I don't want to have to go through that too often (or ever would really be great!) I've changed my diet. I think it will be easier to stick to a healthy diet, now that I have that fear of extreme pain to contend with lol. I have cut my consumption of meat in half. I don't eat a whole lot of meat anyway, not red meat anyway. But, now, I will not eat ANY red meat. I will not eat any processed meats, such as turkey dogs or sausage as the high fat content could cause a gallbladder attack. I am loading up on fish, chicken breast, vegetables, fruit, fruit and vegetable juice and ramping up my fiber. I bought some vitamins and fish oil capsules and I read they are good to take for the gallbladder. I pray that Allah makes it easy for me to stick to my lower calorie, high nutrient diet and that I can work some exercise in there as well to keep me away from those painful and debilitating attacks ameen.

My goals are to be more consistent with my dieting and excersising. If I can stick to my plan I beleive I can easily lose 3 pounds a week insha'Allah.

I made my own menu consisting of low carbs (however not completely out) and low fat foods. I eat alot of steamed fish, shrimp and veggies. As well as lots of fruit, salads and chicken breast. I do still eat good complex carbs such as oatmeal and wholegrain cereal and bread just in moderation. And try to drink no less than 1/2 gallon of water per day. I have added cardio 4 times a week and strength training 3 times a week. Insha'Allah I will be able to lose my goal of 3 pounds per week. May Allah make it easy on us ameen.
