I have gained and lost the same 30 or 40 pounds many times. I believe that if you add it all up, I have lost my entire body weight or more. Yikes!

I am here for the long haul. The so called "goal weight" is not so much a goal as it is a benefit that I get from living as healthfully as I can. I am not here to lose weight. I am here to get healthy and learn how to stay healthy. I do not expect to be perfect. I do commit to doing the best that I am capable of on any given day. Sometimes, my best will be exercising for an hour or more and eating within my calorie range. Sometimes, my best will not be so healthy. No regrets. Just determination to be as healthy as possible.

My Goals:
Short term: My goal is to be as healthy as I can today, right now. If I do that, the weight will come off and my physical fitness and endurance will be as good or better than it is now.

Long term: Stay healthy and active so I can enjoy the things I like to do without limitation.

My Program:
August 2014:
I started "The Plan", an elimination diet, by author Lyn-Genet Recitas, to help one sort out which foods are better tolerated by my system and which are reactive and cause inflammation (gas, bloating, etc.)

In the first week I lost 3 pounds.

It's too soon to tell if The Plan will change the way I eat for life, but I feel pretty good and it is helping me lose the last stubborn 15 pounds.

Saw your page through another and was pretty excited. I have a few other people whom are here and just retired that are now full time rvers. We had the same experience and miss it all the time. Kids are almost grown (late teens and 20's). As soon as they get settled for good-back to rving with a dream of park host seasonally. We had a fifth wheel for a good couple years in more then not. What a great way to be. Great season for it again-hope it's one you can use to the full potential. emoticon

Ah, Jane! So happy to see you again. It has been a slow progression, but injuries have made running difficult, and cookies are just so damn good! Needless to say, working on getting my mind back to a better place with eating. I am so happy for you being able to retire! I have lost the other two people who should be in my department, so work is a bit of a circus. The meditation garden I started is doing well, and is a very peaceful place to just sit and contemplate...if Al's new puppy isn't outside!
Thanks for stopping by and saying hello! emoticon
