I'm back again after a few years off and hoping to stay the course this time and lose the 30 lbs I need while also improving my health. Was just diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension as a result of my scleroderma. Very scary and right before Christmas too.

I'm hoping that changing my lifestyle for good will help me fight this. I've already told my Dr's at Stanford that I need 17+ years ( Got to see all my kids graduate high school at a minimum) and I'm willing to do what I need.

So for now it's eating healthy with a low sodium diet and only low impact exercise as I can't stress out my heart.
I'm hoping to find others who have insight on Pulmonary Hypertension and how they are tackling it. I know from past experiences that I can come here to vent, be happy, share my successes and shortcomings.
Progress Report

May 2013 - Since re joining spark people at the beginning of the year ( more consistent the last 2 months) I've lost 7lbs, and more importantly my last two dr appt's have been great. I have more energy which in turn just keeps me motivated ( A beautiful positive cycle). I'm trying a few new classes (body pump) at the gym ( Membership a gift from hubby for Mother's day) that's keeping me motivated. Back to reading my Women's health and trying a few new routines in there too. Have already recommended 3 friends try sparkpeople too. I can't wait for another month so I can go shopping for a few new summer tops :)

Finally lose the 20lbs- stay around 135-140lb.

Tracking my food intake

by creating a weekly fitness plan

I'm East-Indian from India
I was born in London, England and moved to California- bay area in 1984 @ 14 yrs old to live with my aunt and uncle- both my parents passed away when I was young (dad -I was 10, mom- I was 13)

I'm married(my hubby is Cuban) - 12 wonderful years and have a 4.5 yr old son, Tony and 18 month triplets- Edward, Marina and Tina

Have auto immunes disorders
- Ulcerlative Colitis (diagnosed @ 24)
- Scleroderma (diagnosed @ 37)
- Pulmonary hypertension due to scleroderma (diagnosed at 43)

140 lb - Massage
135 lb (Target weight) - ???
