    I saw your comment that your mother died when you were 10 but your father didn't remarry. Count yourself lucky. My mother died when I was 17 and a Senior in high school. My father was 67 and he'd been a widow before as had my mother. She was 58 and a smoker who had a heart attack. Old women came out of everywhere to get my father to go out with them. He was up at the bar nearly every night, although he drank very little. My brother was 14. When Dad was 70 he married a woman who was 80 as she spent her money having him drive her everywhere. He gained about 40# from all her cooking and he died from a heart attack at 75. She lived to be 94. She had him buried next to her and her husband, even though we asked her to let him be buried with our mother (he didn't want to be buried with his first wife.) She had all the say about his funeral. He never went out with our mother and she wouldn't have believed what he was like after she died. So, like I said be glad your Dad didn't get married again.
