This time I am smarter, stronger and more prepared to make this healthy lifestyle stick. By letting myself be taken away from it once I've realized a lot of things about myself. Self-awareness is key. I refuse to give up on myself, I've learned from those mistakes I've made and vow to to never ever repeat them. I will reach my goals and make all my dreams become reality. Thanks to sparkpeople I've got a bunch of support and a great tool to help me do it! ;) And never ever ever will I leave you again SP and spark friends!

Seems like forever ago...
Sept 2008
Well, its been over 6 months since I wrote my original intro (which you will still find below) so I thought I should update! I'm going to leave the original one though because I want to remember where I started from. I am happy to say... that I am no longer on a diet! I will never diet again! Wooo hoo ... I will however, make good food choices and exercise for the rest of my life!

Thanks to Sparkpeople I've found my healthy lifesytle. Which I followed with a great book called the Abs Diet for Women (altho they use that nasty D word in the title, they too stress its healthy choices for life, thanks again healthychic!). I've come quite a ways... I was at my all time high Christmas of 07 at 258 lbs, I was down to 245 when I found SP just after my birthday (bday feb 6th, sparks feb 7th to be exact). I'm now just under 215 sooo I've got a ways to go yet! But with my new found knowledge and determination that isn't goin no where... I know that sooner or later I WILL reach my goals!!!

I absolutely love this site, the community and all the wonderful people I've met and friends I've made! Thank you all!!!

I'm Nicole, I'm 26 from just outside of Tampa. I currently live with my mom and my jack russell terrier Rusty. Everytime I start a diet i seem to lose about 10 lbs and then put it back on and then some. Six months ago actually I was down to 215 from 235. I'm now somewhere around 250 and absolutely disgusted. So i'm trying to really really committ to this this time and hopefully will be able to stick with it even if there are some minor set backs along the way. I just won't throw in the towel and give up this time... i wouldn't like it if my packers got behind in the first half and took my "ah the hell with it" approach for the 2nd half would i. No. By the way i'm a HUGEMONGOUS Green Bay fan. =) Go Pack Go!

My Program:
Abs Diet Regimen. Concentrate on Powerfoods:

Almonds & nuts
Beans & legumes
Spinach & Green Veggies

Dairy (fat free & low fat)
Instant Oatmeal (u/s & u/f)
Eggs
Turkey & lean meats

Peanut butter
Olive Oil
Whole grain bread & cereal
Extra Protein
Raspberries & other berries

Limit alchol to a min.

Follow SP cal, protein, fat and carb ranges

5/09 Update: This is still the same pretty much. I focus a lot on my portions of things, nothing is off limits. I do like the abs diet regimen though and try to incorporate as much power foods into my day as possible. I also try to eat clean as much as possible. If I can live my life by the 80/20 rule then I feel comfortable.
