Hey! I'm Neah and am Sparking from the beautiful Rose City... more commonly known as Portland Oregon. I have lived here for all 31 years of my life and absolutely love it.

My friends, family and doggy are pretty much the most important things in my life. I love them all and am incredibly lucky to have each and every one of them.

As for me, I love to read a good book (actual book... none of this eReader stuff), I am a big lover of music and love movies. I am also a bit of a TV nerd. But it must be said that I am a giant Harry Potter nerd... shhh that's just between you and I. I am also a Portland Trail Blazers lover and Oregon Ducks Fanatic (even a season ticket holder).

As for Spark, well I joined at the end of 2011 but fizzled out shortly after that. Then I gave a half hearted attempt during the fall of 2012 but thought I had everything all figured out and that I didn't need Spark... which brings me to today. I have recommitted and am incredibly determined for this to be my last "start". I have learned that I can try all I want to do this alone and just "winging it", but I am more successful when I am honest about my goals, supported by those in my life, and regularly held accountable. SP is not only a way to do all of this, but also a valuable resource for information.
I am determined to make this change. And it will start here.

Fitness Minutes: 27,210

My Goals:
After always holding myself to high expectations. I am trying something new. I am setting easier to reach goals. A nice healthy 2 lbs a week until I reach my goal weight. Another goal is to be more self forgiving. When those little mistakes happen, I will not dwell but instead work harder the next day.

**Short term goals**
- Break 250lbs
- Lose 20lbs
- 400 cardio minutes a month
- 400 strength training minutes a month

**Long term goals**
- Under 200lbs
~Lose 130 lbs
~Run a 10K (Specifically Race for the Cure in honor of my grandmother)
~Purchase a "little black dress"

My Program:
Now that I am starting completely fresh, I am going to incorporate the SP meal planner for the next 2 months. No more struggling to figure out what meals to make or trolling diet cookbooks... until I get a better handle on my diet I am going to be very organized and focused. As this becomes easier I will start to incorporate different meal ideas and resources... but for now... STICKING TO THE MENU PLANNER.

As for my fitness... due to an injury I am sidelined from running, zumba, elliptical and most of my other preferred types of cardio. So for now I will swim 30-45 minutes three days a week and strength train/physical therapy for 3 days a week. One day I will take off.

Personal Information:
A Portland Oregon Native. I'm an only child. My grandparents were the most inspirational people I have ever known. Purple and green are my favorite colors. I have an adorable pug and beagle (puggle) mix named Abby. I double majored in Marketing and Advertising in college. And I have done some amazing things and can't wait to do more!
