Introduction Text Jan. 22,2011 Wow! I've been with SPARKPEOPLE and you wonderful people for over 3 years now!...I lost 25 or so lbs. and learned so much about myself. I learned that I can have a lot more control over my choices than I thought I had. I began making better choices over what I ate. Then my world was shot to pieces on Feb. 6,2010. I had a massive heart attack,died and was brought back . Now I am in end-stage renal desease and spend 3 days a week on kidney dialysis. This will be my life until God takes me home. I've put myself completely in His hands! My weight is tightly watched so I will know if I'm gaining too much water weight! So far,so good! I miss you guys,so will be popping in to say 'hello' and see how you are doing! Take care and I thank you for all the prayers,Mona I'll post some different photos soon!

My goal is to lose weight in order to enjoy my Senior years more fully.It is so wonderful to finally have lots of free time! The way I am now,it is a big effort just to go on a short walk with my husband! As of Jan. 1,2009,I have lost 20 lbs. By tracking my food and walking daily on my treadmill,I hope to lose another 20-30 lbs.in 2009!

My program is tracking my food,keeping with-in my calorie limit,drinking 8-10 cups of water each day and walking,walking,and more walking!

My name is Mona[with a short o] I am 6 4 and married for 45 yrs. We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.We live in a small Ohio village.I have been overweight for about 35-40 years! Tried to lose and failed many times! With Gods help and friends like you,I will succeed this time!

I like to consider my self artistic. I design and make quilts and beaded jewelry. I love to read,mostly mysteries and biographys. I guess I'm what is called "high-strung". This is the excuse I use to explain my eating before bed .It calms me down. Who am I fooling? Ha Ha!
