Planning a vacation down South next year (for the first time ever!)and would really like to feel confident in a bathing suit! I used to be very active...ran a marathon 3 years ago...but have slacked off after that! Now I'm finding it's not as easy as it used to be to get into shape!
I have gained and lost weight several times but now would just like to do it the right way and keep it off!

........Okay, it's been a while since I've updated my page at all! My boyfriend was deployed over seas for 6 months and since he returned home we got engaged and are in the process of planning a beach wedding! I'm ridiculously excited even though it's about a year away....just have to stay on track and keep working towards my goal of being beach ready for my big day!

I walk an hour a day-I have a chocolate lab and she gets me out of the house wether I want to or not!
I go to kickboxing 2 days a week
Yoga one day a week
step class one day a week
and also strength train 2-3 days a week

Personal Information:
I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada and absolutley love it here but with the crazy weather we have it's not always easy to be active year round!
My boyfriend and I recently bought our first house and got a chocolate lab puppy! She is my so special to me, she's become my hiking/swimming/ walking buddy and makes sure I get out every day to do something! She'll actually go to the door and hits at her leash that hangs there until I get the hint!
My boyfriend is amazing support too and recently starting working out more too!
He's in the Canadian Navy and deployed overseas right now so we are both trying our hardest to get in shape for when we see each other in a few months!

    I absolutely loved my time in Nova Scotia earlier this year, but I can honestly say, as an out of shape woman I almost died hiking up all those hills in Halifax! lol

    Lovely part of the country you live in and just thought I'd pop by to say that. :-)

    I'm glad to hear your man is back home, safe and sound! My hubby definately prefers the unhealthy foods. He doesn't so much push them on me, he just wants me to not push my healthy foods on him. He'll eat healthy dinners to a certain extent but prefers that I make a healthy meal for me and pizzas, hoagie, spaghetti, etc for him. One big problem I have is that I pack a lunch for him everyday and he likes fatty lunchmeats (bologna, salami, pepperoni, ham, etc), chips, hostess cakes, cheese and crackers, etc. So my problem is I have the stuff in the house and it takes a lot not to grab a cake or chips when I want a snack, which is a lot easier than making a salad. He supports me and my "health kick" as he calls it, but he doesn't want to make any sacrifices himself which makes it harder on me. I've been trying to slowly convert him into healthier choices but its not working that great. I try to cook healthy versions of meals he likes rather than making 2 meals all the time. Another thing is he's a big pepsi fan, he we are not talking the diet versions. I try to drink water or some kind of crystal light! I admit that sometimes I give in and have a glass of pepsi every now and then. If I were alone I'd keep all this stuff out of the hosue but its hard with him. The kicker is he's thin too. I counted the calories in his lunch once and it was over 2000.... today I packed 3 cans of pepsi, a bottle of OJ, 2 lunchmeat sandwiches, 1 PB&J sandwich, string cheese, pickle, hard boiled egg, cheese and crackers, pudding, whole can of pringles, ho-ho, slim jim, sunflower seeds, and a can of fruit... and thats just one day honestly! He's works heard and burns a lot of energy but it makes me sick I'm limited to 1400 calories and he consumes that by break everyday! Sick huh?

    How long has your fiancee been away? That has to be hard! A close friend of mine got married last Feb and her husband left in March, and she had their baby in Oct. He's only been able to come home once to see the baby. I'm sure your finacee loved the pic of you in the dress. Do you get to talk to him often?

    Yesterday I had a great workout at the gym then when I got home I helped my husband tear down scaffolding (he's a bricklayer and he's bricking our new house right now). I did cardio at the gym and got my strength at home. My arm are sore from lifting the scaffolding, that stuff is heavy! I'm sore but its a good hurt! I also logged over 12,000 steps on my pedometer and was in my calorie range! Good day! How was yours?

    I just bought Turbo Jam recently but I've only used it a couple times. I bought it to keep things interesting and to have something to do at home when I can't make it to the gym. I go back and fourth between exercising at home and at the gym. I find that I'm more likely to actually exercise if I have a gym membership, especially lately because after we moved to our new house all my equipment got shoved into the basement. Have you ever used Turbo Jam, is the 30 Day Shread better?

    My hubby and I decided to have a party on 9/26. It will be a combination 1 year anniversary party / house warming party. I'm hoping to lose 15lbs (at least 10lbs) by then. I don't like to set weight/date deadlines but it'll give me something to work towards. I'm pretty excited to plan this thing, our invite list is already over 200 which is almost what we invited to the wedding last year! Its going to be a blast, we hired a DJ, we're renting a tent, tables, chairs, and a dancefloor! I love event planning!

    So whats new in your life? Oh by the way, gotta say the dress your wearing on the top of your spark page is really cute! Love the color!

    My pup does the same thing when I'm sitting on the floor to do anything... he gets excited and jumps on me. The older one gets all excited and gets right up in my face, breathing his doggy breath... YUCK! My younger one gets a bit lazy at times, actually he's very lazy. He even lays down to eat and drink. He was fine Sat, just didn't want bothered with the heat. He went back inside and laid in the a/c and as I went back out to sweat.

    No, I've never done the 30 day shread. I'm not really familiar with it, what it is all about?
