I started to gain weight in the second grade. I saw that the other girls in my class didn’t look like me but I never saw myself as fat or over weight. I started to gain weight in the second grade. I saw that the other girls in my class didn’t look like me but I never saw myself as fat or over weight. The summer before the sixth grade while on vacation, a boy called me fat. That same summer a girl at the movies thought I was pregnant. Those are also the school years when I was always told to eat everything off my plate and when I WASN’T taught what was healthy food and what was junk food. After the sixth grade was when I started to feel ‘different’.
Before I saw being ‘different’ as a bad thing. Now I see being ‘different’ is a good thing. I don’t want to be like everyone else but I do want to be healthy. My brain is wired all wrong for food. I need to rewire EVERYTHING!
I want to do this and I NEED to do this.
