Now that the awning is up we all spend more time outside.
Sitting in the shade waiting until it is safe for me to go back by the water!

And life moves on
I am looking forward to a fabulous 2020. Last year was tough and I expect this year to be better.
I had to deal with a couple of cancer surgeries, but I thank the Lord that I am now cancer-free. My mom, who lives nearby, has had to have her knee and hip replaced in the past year. The love of my life also had to have surgery to prevent him from being paralyzed.

I had to deal with a couple of cancer surgeries, but I thank the Lord that I am now cancer-free. My mom, who lives nearby, has had to have her knee and hip replaced in the past year. The love of my life also had to have surgery to prevent him from being paralyzed.
If that wasn't enough, we had to put one of our cats to sleep. He was 19 and it was one of the most difficult decisions that I have had to make.
But that was last year. This year I am the official "travel guide" for a "Girl's Trip" that my Mom, my sisters, and I are planning on taking. Our last "Girl's Trip" in 2018 was a blast.
If all goes as planned, I will be hiking to some of the more remote waterfalls that I have been reading about. Since the beach is 1 1/2 hours away, I hope to make it to the beach to walk at least monthly, except during Spring Break. I have also joined a new team "Go the Distance in 2020," Since I joined this team I have decided to do a virtual hike of the Appalachian Trail.
I am also taking the time to declutter my home. I am amazed at all of the things that I have just been sitting around, taking up space, that I have been walking around. If I don't use it and don't love it, even if it was a gift, I am moving it out.
I expect 2020 to be one of the best years of my life!

Happy
Day! Living in snowy, icy Minnesota, it's hard for me to picture crops of lettuce and spinach. Nice you can still enjoy them into the winter months.
