Hi Peggy! Thank you for commenting on my blog! You and I have about the same amount to lose and we're close in age! I will be 55 in July, some similarities in our journeys, so I thought I'd ask to be a spark friend! Here's to a healthier lifestyle!! emoticon

You're welcome. For many years I worked in human resources. My boss told me to check the date of college graduation for "weeding out" those with too much experience - RIGHT! After I lost my job I applied for the exact same job in the same industry and had several telephone interviews. Once they figured out how old I was I never heard from them again. And it's a story that I've heard over and over again. So much for Social Security and all the experts telling us to "work as long as we can". My only option was a job at JoAnn Fabrics for $8/hour. I did it for awhile but it simply wasn't worth it! I'd love to see a book about this issue!
