Retired and loving it. I live in Las Vegas. I love reading and playing with my IPad. I believe in the power of positivity and try to seek out the positive in every day.

February 2019

January did not go well. On the 8th, I injured myself at work and it went downhill from there. The good news I am on the mend and will be able to resume “my regularly scheduled program” this month.

Of course the inactivity didn’t play very well with my journey. I gained weight this first month of the new year. I was surprised and little disappointed that, after 3 years, I could so easily revert to my “old” ways of finding comfort in food. I think that just goes to show that we need to remain vigilant. We also need to forgive ourselves and, shaking it off, keep moving forward.

My Goals:
In 2019, continue to follow LCHQ meal plan. Carb grams of no more than than 150 daily. Do 30 minutes (minimum) of intentional exercise a day. Get 13K daily steps on my Fitbit. Less processed and more Whole Foods in my diet. A minimum of 3 vegetables/fruits daily.

My Program:
Portion control, moderation, low carbs, sugar, and sodium with less processed foods and minimum sweets.

Live in Las Vegas. Former Jersey girl. Retired and loving it. Proud to be an active member of the Spark community for 4 years.

Other Information:
I love to read, play the penny slots, and hang out with friends. I have successfully created a healthier lifestyle that will not only get me to goal but will allow me to keep the weight off through maintenance and beyond.
