Hi! To answer your question on my post about losing inches: Back in October I was on SparkCoach and one of the challenges they gave me was to choose some activity that I LOVED and incorporate it in my fitness plan. Well! lol! I dislike just about ANY activity, so I had to THINK HARD on that one. Then I realized that I had LOVED recreational swimming as a child and HATED leaving the beach or pool. THEN I realized that my kids were already PAYING for a family membership at the YMCA! DUH!!!!!! So I embraces SWIMMING! I began with just treading water while my kids played. I tried to see how fast I could do one length (25 meters in OUR pool). Boy! Was my heart racing and chest heaving! I had only committed to swimming 4x a month. Then, I hurt my arm and shoulder, which took 12 weeks to heal. Still, I tread water and just went easy on the arm. The NEXT challenge was discovering a 'softball' sized cyst on my right ovary that needed major surgery, so I was out of the pool until the very end of May. I know this is long winded, but I say all this to point out that MOST of this improvement has come from SWIMMING since the end of May. Once home-schooling ended, we've been in the pool 5 or 6 days a week. After just 3 WEEKS I had lost 6 inches! I was amazed! And now I lost over 4 more. The pounds did not begin a downward trend until last week, when I had been on the Fit and Fiber Challenge and committed to tracking my food and getting the appropriate amount of Fiber and water and staying within calories.
AND. THAT'S. ALL. I. KNOW. ABOUT. THIS. CURRENT. SUCCESS. EXCEPT.....that I am REALLY REALLY REALLY thrilled.
