Don't measure your success by someone else"s ruler. Also success should never be measured against the ideal. Instead measure success as the difference between where you are now and where you started.

Honey, I am not a doctor, I only know what works for me. Three moderate meals a day, biggest one in the morning, smallest one at night. No refined foods, sugar in particular only a pinch of sea salt on my food, no caffeinated drinks. I had to learn to eat to live and not live to eat. That is how I "love myself" into reaching goal.

I know how discouraging being 170 lbs is, I was there once even 193 when I was pregnant with my last child. The doctor jokingly said, " If you try real hard you can make 200 by the time she is born." I wanted to hit him. or course when she was born I quickly lost 15 lbs and then got down to 170. It is good you are not back up to 200 like you said. so that is great.

Undoubtedly since you have studied a lot about nutrition and the like and have learned a lot about refined foods and caffeinated drinks, you know what they do to you. They nearly killed me before I finally had to say "NO MORE" and before I would stop believing the lie that a little won't hurt. It did. It was like a drug for me for the simple reason, it set up a craving for more, killed my appetite for whole foods and robbed my body of nutrition to stay healthy.

Do you work at night and sleep during the day? My daughter did for a long time and didn't feel like eating when she got up because she ate so late at night She did basically what you do and gained weight.

It was such an amazing "revelation", that I received over time, when I finally knew it was OK that I am not perfect right now, today. . I am in God's most capable hands and I am loved unconditionally and acceptable to Him, right now just as I am.. That complete understanding came when I forgave myself for being imperfect and loved myself anyway. It makes it so much easier to treat my body with respect now that I love myself. Love really is the key and the missing puzzle piece that kept me stuck in my diet, binge syndrome.. .
