I am a happy and enthusiastic introvert. I enjoy people individually or in small groups, love books, classical and Celtic music, rocks, mountains, cats....actually I love nature in all her forms.
I am a retired mental health therapist....specialized in severe mental illness and worked as both a therapist and director of a mental health facility for the acutely mentally ill homeless and poor. My biggest challenge these days is support and occasional /caretaking of my 96 yr. old mother.
Reasons to Lose Weight
1. To increase health and vitality.
2. To design and begin building my future health (and the future begins anew each minute).
3. To wear clothes I enjoy and feel good in.
4. So I can get dressed and then forget about how I look and enjoy the day without that unpleasant feeling of �fat awareness� lurking in the back of my mind.

My Goals:
My goal is to achieve and maintain a healthy weight.....about 11 pounds less than I now weigh....and in so doing lower my blood pressure, increase my energy, and thereby enjoy life more fully. My target date is to achieve my goal weight by the first week of November 2017....at this pace I should have made permanent changes in my eating habits. OBOY!

My Program:
At this time, I am not tracking my calories and exercise. I am trying to maintain my loss and increase that loss by making wise choices, being careful to exercise, and so far it's working.

Personal Information:
I am a native Californian who has spent most of my adult life in the South/SouthEast and in South/Central America as my husbands career kept us on the move.We are now retired and living in Idaho....I so love it here....the abundance of natural beauty is a constant delight.
