I have a long, long history of weight loss and weight gain. Weight issues have been the app running in the background of my life. I'm never stable; it seems like I'm either gaining weight, or losing it (In process).

I've had a few weight loss surgeries in my life. The last one was in June of 2010. I was losing weight just fine while I was unable to eat. As soon as I could eat food, the weight started coming back.

Lately, my clothes have gotten tight. If I don't stop the weight gain now, I'll have nothing to wear. It seems like every day I put at least one item of clothing into to "too tight" pile. Stop. Reverse.

I'm going back to tracking everything I eat. I am specially stopping the grazing (cashews!) and simple carbs.

My goal is to fit into my size 12 pants again.

My Goals:
I want to remain active and healthy for as long as possible!

My Program:
I had a RNY on 6/14/10.

I know that surgery is not the magic bullet that some may think it is. You still have to work at it. If you get complacent, you can gain weight like anyone else.

Personal Information:
I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I was a fat kid in school and always the last one called for a team. I joined WW in high school and lost 57 lbs. I stayed relatively thin until I had my first child at 19. I continued to gain. I had WLS in the 1980's, lost 150 lbs., and over the course of time, gained it all back plus more. I became severely hypertensive and chose LIFE. I've lost130 lbs and I'm grateful, thankful, and never felt better!

Other Information:
I'm a nurse in the NICU in OC, CA. I have 2 grown kids (son and daughter) and a step-daughter. Husband and I have been married 14 years and we met on the 'net. We love taking rides on our motorcycles all over southern CA.

My 16 year old step-daughter lives with us now and is being home schooled online. It's a new challenge!

Hi kiddo! Wow, where does the time go? It was so good to hear from you.i spent 5 months with my daughter and hubby while she had a difficult pregnancy. Baby girl arrived fine last Aug 2013. I put on 40 lbs during that time then came home and haven't been able to lose the wt. Now my hubby and I are on extended vacation until sept ( getting away from the extream heat of Arizona). I did retire and we moved there 1 1/2 yrs ago. We are on our way to Maine to see the sites along the way then we head for Montreal, Canada then back home. I don't always have Internet on the road so don't be surprised if you don't heAr from me soon. We leave Virginia in the morning headed for Maine and parts unknown! Talk to you when I can!
