Introduction Text My name is Nicole, and I'm tired of being unhealthy and tired all the time. SparkPeople...save me! I need to get healthier and happier and I think the only way to be honest with myself is to put it all out there for the public to see.

I don't really have a set number of lbs I want to lose, so much, as just wanting to lower my risk of heart disease and diabetes. Obesity runs in my family and I don't want to see it happening and do nothing about it.

I am attempting to change the way I treat food, first of all. I use it as a crutch and replacement teddy bear when I'm sad or frustrated. It should be nourishment--not comfort. Exercise will come later, but I think walking the dog is a good goal for the time being.

I'm 27, married, live in Dayton, OH and work in the organ and tissue donation industry.
