I'm losing weight and keeping it off forever!
"Never give up... Because to give up, is like giving in, and to give in, is like quitting and Winners never quit"! My name is Paulette, I'm 60 years old and I have had a weight problem for about 28 years. I would gain some, then lose a little. Gain more then lose even less. Over several years I have been getting heavier and heavier. I've tried many different diets, but gave up after a short period of time. I think I wanted the miracle diet that would do all the work while I was sleeping! ...

I think I wanted the miracle diet that would do all the work while I was sleeping! Then I could just wake up skinny! I have since learned those diets never work. If you truly want to lose some weight, you must GOYB!! Get Off Your Booty! This site has helped me to start exercising and eating healthy! I never would have lost any of my weight if it weren't for all of you here on SP! You all keep me motivated and focused!

I would like to lose 100lbs and keep it off.
I would love to stop shopping at Lane Bryant because nothing fits! Goal met 9/11/09
I would love to climb a flight of stairs without passing out! Goal met 7/12/09
To be able to touch my toes or tie my shoes without losing my breath! Goal met 5/15/9
Walk from Fernley Nevada to Cape Cod, MA 2,952 miles started 6/16/09 Finished 12/05/10
I would love to put on a pair of Pantyhose without it turning into a 30 minute cardio workout!
To have a flat stomach
To be able to run a mile

To finish a 5k run

My Program:
I started February 1st 2009 with protein shakes for breakfast and lunch. Then I added some exercise. Walking at first then I added a workout dvd. During the summer months I was walking 6.5 to 9 miles a day. I joined a gym in 10/2009. I continue to go to the gym 6 days a week at 3:30 am! Sometimes earlier if I can't sleep. Lol!
Personal Information:
Born and raised in Southern California, I moved to Las Vegas with the company I was working with in 1992. That job disolved and I moved to the Reno area in 1995. Northern NV is my favorite place of all. We have blue skies, no smog, and all the seasons!

I, Paulette, pledge to do everything in my power to become healthier. I will watch the quality and quantity of my food. It will not be easy. I will be tempted. I will not make excuses. BUT, I will stay strong and continue to be focused because I deserve to be skinny and I am worth the work!
