Introduction Text I have finally reached that point in my life where I've internalized the importance of being fit and healthy. I'm nearing retirement and I want to be able to enjoy it! I know this will be a long process and there are no quick fixes. I love the support I get from SparkPeople, and I hope I in turn can support you!

I want to have a fit, active, healthy retirement. As I've aged, I've become serious about this. Why couldn't I have started in my teens???

I'm from North Dakota and am a psych/mental health nurse in a large health system here. I work in the outpatient clinic. My husband and I camp and garden, and I'm trying to learn to be a better photographer.
