My name is Naomi. I live in Southern Oregon. I am 33. I am married and have been for 14 years. I now have four sons, 12, 6, and 4 and 1.5. We definitely have a rough and tumbly household .
I had unstoppable determination and motivation just before I found out I was pregnant with my little one. I was even going good at keeping fit during the first part of the pregnancy. Then came my belly, and the tiredness and the aches and pains. I have been looking for that motivation and determination even since. I am now at my heaviest I have ever been.

Motivation for Weight Loss
Author: unknown

M-make short term goals
O-out with the negative thoughts
T-think of why you want it
I-imagine how you will feel
V-visualize the future you
A-acknowledge your successes
T-treat yourself with respect
I-investigate new ideas and foods
O-observe your healthy lifestyle
N-never give up and never give in

The next time you feel a craving, you're tempted, discouraged, unmotivated or you feel like skipping a workout, focus on your daily goals, not on the huge amount of work that is ahead of you. Tell yourself, all I have is today! All I have is this moment, this workout, this meal, the next 30 minutes, the next hour. If I just do what I know I must do now, then I KNOW I'll reach my ultimate goal eventually. Concentrate on the task at hand IN THIS MOMENT." ~ Tom Venuto

Quotes I have found on pages and posts of other Sparkers.

If an apple doesn't take away your hunger, then it's not hunger you are feeling.

Obsessed is a word that the lazy use to describe the dedicated.

When you feel like your struggling and your muscles are burning, remember that your body is learning something new.

Success only comes before work in the dictionary, so keep working at it.

There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.

Power is created in the mind, Rooted in the feet, developed in the legs, directed by the hips, transferred through the torso, focused in the feet or hands and felt in the spirit.

A true runner has the heart and the soul for the sport which does not have to be proved to anyone else but oneself.

Success often lies just a few short steps beyond the point where we decide to quit.

Self control is like a muscles, the more you use it, the stronger it becomes.

Hey Naomi, Finally settled up in Gresham! :) We love it up here and my daughter is doing really well! We both love the new school...still miss everyone there, but it was a lot nicer of a transition into schools from Eagle Point to Gresham than it was from White City to Eagle Point.

I hope you are sticking to it! Sure miss all of you down there...been hard to find good sparkers up here...bummer....but I will keep trying!

    Take Care!

We use purchased curricula we get at discounted prices from Rainbow Resource Center. It was pretty costly in the beginning, but we've been at it for just over 2 years now so now it's just a matter of updating every so often.
