In over 3 years I'll be 'old enough to brag about my age'. We have 2 sons who grew up in the kitchen. Our 8 grandchildren enjoy helping in the kitchen.

Enjoys travelling for the architecture and culture (including food). Best parts are the people we meet both on the ship and in port. The foods we try are usually very tasty. Funniest time was our version of 'Cappuccino & Gelato'. The basic rule was try one or the other in each port of call. Fascinating variations. Walking around the waterfront in Genoa, we got distracted and enjoyed both plus a huge pastry. (Took me two or 3 days to eat my share).

So many things remind me of fun we've had in our travels. Getting lost can be a great adventure if we are creative about communicating when we don't know the language.

Living inland, I miss the ocean and mountains,

Apr. 10, 2021. When I started this journey, I wanted to get under 200 from almost 210. Mindful eating, and I made it.
Revised my goal to 195, well, if I can do that, I'll go for 189.
I was getting excited and when I reached 190, I decided I could get to 185. Wow. I did it. According to one doctor, That is my optimum weight.
Today I am at 184.7. Last week it was 184.5. For 3 consecutive days I had gains.
My hubby (His Honor - because he is bossy) was under 273 yesterday. Today he is over 274. That is progress since he started me on this journey. He was almost 280. No need to mention his habitual behavior and moans about pain. Proper exercise and actual movement would help him.
At one time, there was only a 10-20 pound difference in our weights. Last year he was about 70 pounds heavier. Now it is 90 pounds. He has been to so many classes directed at better health but considers low-nutrition foods essential.

THey'll GRAB YOU SO FAST!! They LOVE employees who are under the 40 hour mark, NO INSURANCE to pay and most fast food places do not have full time any ways. MANY at the grocery store I worked at were 20 hours to 30 (Majority). I did 14 hours, and they did NOT MIND that at all! The great thing (I use this on interviews) "being an older person I'll be here for my shift. I'm dependable." LOL REALLY Wanted to say "Hey I am NOT A TEEN or in my 20's or even 30's so I am NOT out with my friends the night before getting drunk and or high". LOLOLOL

I'd not on the interview say "I need a week off in June." but once hired, YUP SURE WOULD!! Places are so desperate they'll NOT fire you.

I use to have cravings before I found a doctor who put me on Metformin and my blood sugar went from 115 (diabetes starts at 126) and it is 84 now. But I know what it is to eat a bag of chips and then listen to that voice "Harriet" tell you what a failure you are. I dropped 50# and have kept it off for 4 yrs.

Thank you reading my blog “Remember When Exercise was Fun” and sharing you own memories. While we all had “fun” in our own way, your experience was something I only read about in books. I love these Spark connections.

LOL "Soft kitty, Warm kitty" Sheldon!! HAHAHAHA that'll ALWAYS make me laugh!! Which is a great stress buster!!

THANKFULLY this past weekend was nice and though busy it wasn't stressful. Hey the dawg team did a ZOOM meeting!! It was so COOL to faces of each other, and hear the laughter!! Not all of course could come, but 11 of us made it. Was so neat!! As leaders of the Dawggies we now do a ZOOM meeting to mix things up. It works out REALLY good.
