I have been a member of Spark since 2008. Due to piddling around and not sticking to my goals & plans I have made no progress.

Instead of making a resolution to loose weight or to exercise more, here is my new goal:
To make and keep 1 new goal each month. If that goal has not become a habit to continue with that goal until it does and not make a new goal until it does.

My goal for the month of January is to ride my stationary bike at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes.


I want to loose weight and become healther so that when I do become pregnant my child will be healthy. Also, so that when I am finished with my pregnancy I will be able to get my figure back faster. Further more, I want to be able to keep up with any children that we have.

In the past few years I have discovered/had diagnosed some serious, but not deadly, health problems. I have several conditions that are never going to go away, but they are going to be managed (dadgumit!). I have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome which is a nerve disorder in my neck. (
et) Also, I have Fibromyalgia, it is real and it is no fun. ( I have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which is definetly uncomfortable. ( Along with the IBS I am lactose intolerant. Many of the symptoms of many of these conditions can be controlled or lessened by having better health. That is my most imediate reason for needing to loose weight.

My main reason for needing to loose weight is that being a designer and a mom are both very demanding. When you combine the two it calls for serious stamina. In order for me to have the stamina to meet my life goals I need to be more healthy.

Update 12-10: I graduated from The Art Institute of Houston with a Bachelor of Art in Interior Design!!

Update 9-30-10: DH and I are no longer preventing pregnancy and in a month or 2 we will begin actually trying (gonna give DH some time to wrap his mind around the idea a little better). I am SUPER excited about this! I want a baby REALLY badly! I just need to start loosing weight for serious now!

Update 12-20-11: After trying to get pregnant for over a year without success, we are seeking medical assistance. Hopefully getting healthier will help that along!

    Hey there! just wanted to stop by and check in with you. Sorry I've been MIA work has been busy its auction week. and I had my hubby's bday this weekend too so all week I was running errands. I haven't been doing so well with my fitness minutes but today I did good. I did 2 miles of walking at work my 100 crunches and hopefully get in some Zumba time today. I said to myself better late then never right hahaha so I headed out and walked. Well I hope your having a great week. I will try and email you tomorrow. ttyl
