Getting healthy
I've struggled with obesity since I was a teen, dropping and gaining back hundreds of pounds at a time. I stopped smoking in Feb 2009 and never went back. I know I can tackle my obesity and be healthy, but it needs to happen before my health deteriorates. My binge eating is always an issue. I don't know that I can ever stop it completely but I need to learn some new ways to handle it. I want to make exercise a part of my daily routine. I know I can tackle my obesity and be healthy, but it needs to happen before my health deteriorates. My binge eating is always an issue. I don't know that I can ever stop it completely but I need to learn some new ways to handle it. I want to make exercise a part of my daily routine. I want it to be something I can't live without, rather than something I dread. I took off 60 pounds in the first 3 months of 2010, and have been maintaining ever since. While I'm proud that I haven't gained most of that weight back, it's time to move on. I need to get my blood sugars under control as a start. Exercise helps this tremendously but I'm at a point where I can't do traditional workouts. I need to lose through nutrition and chair exercise until my feet and knees have less of a load. It's a long road but it's really the only path left. Update: It's been a long road with many heartaches and losses but we are finally expecting a little girl in January. She may come early due to some complications, but I feel very strongly that she is a survivor. She is going to be one feisty little lady! I've been on bed rest since 16 weeks which has been difficult for many reasons, but totally worth it. Keeping my eye on the prize! Update: I need to lower my blood pressure and my glucose levels NOW. Tracking my food and exercise works. 01.02.19 Update: So here I am again...My beautiful girl is now 5. I can't believe how much worse my health is. I weigh more now than I did when I delivered her. I'm on a plethora of medications but my health continues to deteriorate. I don't understand how my daughter isn't enough motivation to be healthier. WTF is wrong with me??? So here I am again...
