Hi. I'm 35. I've used Sparkpeople off and on for 10 years. When I stop tracking my diet and exercise, I find I go back to bad habits.

In the early '10s, I fell off the wagon big time because I finally had good money for the first time in my life. I went crazy, eating out all the time, and working long hours. My A1c went up to 12 and I became borderline obese at over 180lbs, much much higher than I had ever been. I did not even think a petite girl like me could even get so big. I got chronic pain, IBS, moderate sleep apnea, and my other health problems worsened considerably. My IBS got so bad it was getting hard for me to leave the house at all. I quit my job and decided to work on my health and happiness.

My Goals:
I don't want to be overweight anymore. I want to put my sleep apnea, IBS, and diabetes into remission. I want to fix my broken metabolism.

My Program:
I eat a grain-free semi-Paleo diet most days. I am exercising 6-7 days a week - mostly walking and cycling. I joined a DietBet to help motivate me into hitting my weight goals. I use a Fitbit Flex and a Polar heart monitor to help me track my fitness.

I currently live in Las Vegas.

books: Kim Harrison, Jacqueline Carey, J.K. Rowling, various manga (yaoi, yuri, some shoujo). Lately, a lot more non-fiction.

movies/television: Vampire Diaries, Once Upon a Time, Penny Dreadful, Game of Thrones, Teen Wolf, Masters of Sex
