I seem to have been at for such a long time. I have had moments of clarity about my weight, my eating habits and about the things that motivate me. I have learned many new things about taking care of myself by eating healthy, balanced meals and makig fitness a part of my life. I also discovered that I give up on me long before others and I am harder on me than others. I have come to understand that it is not a choice that I have as to whether or not I want to be here. It has become a matter of life that I remain here and continue to take this journey one step at a time. There is no possible success for me if I turn back or stop. I can give in, give up or give it my all.

This will not be easy. But I will not give up.

Welcome, Soror. I,too, want to lose weight for health reasons. I have found a few "goodies" that have helped me somewhat control what I snack on. Kashi makes these delicious oatmeal raisin cookies that contain flaxseed, which is good for your digestive system. I also munch on almonds, fruits, and take a colon cleanser whenever I "cheat". So far, I have lost my desire for candy and fatty sweets. In the evening for dinner I have a big bowl of Kashi Go-Lean crunch with lowfat milk. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. BE BLESSED!!

Sooo glad to hear from you! Strategies and preparation have helped me a lot too, having lunch and snacks with me at work. Keep trying to get that 10 minutes done, I'm now trying to consistently do 10 minutes, 3 times a day.

Just stopped by to check, are you taking a break? Not from your goals, I hope.

If you don't mind, I'm going to be checking in on you from time to time. As you said, you want to do things perfectly or not at all, so I'll remind you once in a while that baby steps get you where you want to go too.

Welcome to the site and thank you for visiting my page--not to mention leaving me such a lovely comment. :)

I was in a very similar situation as you in that I always gave up on myself before. I managed to get over that seemingly impossible hurdle though, and here I am...130+ pounds lighter. It really can be done and this is the best place to get started. You really will find all the tools and support you need.

Feel free to send a shout out to me if you have any questions or if you need an extra boost of motivation.
