I seem to have been at for such a long time. I have had moments of clarity about my weight, my eating habits and about the things that motivate me. I have learned many new things about taking care of myself by eating healthy, balanced meals and makig fitness a part of my life. I also discovered that I give up on me long before others and I am harder on me than others. I have come to understand that it is not a choice that I have as to whether or not I want to be here. It has become a matter of life that I remain here and continue to take this journey one step at a time. There is no possible success for me if I turn back or stop. I can give in, give up or give it my all.

This will not be easy. But I will not give up.

Just wanted you to know I went to Howard's Homecoming this past weekend. Saw dozens of sorors. Took a picture next to our tree. Even stepped a little. The good news is during that weekend, I lost 1 lb. I guess I was so busy running, I didn't take much time to eat. Can't wait to go back next year!!

Hey there, I was just driving by on the welcome wagon and had the screech the brakes because I wanted to welcome you to "Get lost Fat & Don't Come Back." So glad to have you. It's a new group but hopefully we will all grow (in a shrinking sort of way - lol) together. Please feel free to jump in and enjoy yourself.

I wish you the best of luck and want to say that if you need anything at all, don't hesitate to ask. - Heather

You are so right that it is the pounds that you keep off that matter. I sometimes lose sight of that fact. I have kept off 56 pounds and that was before this second wind. We get so accustom to measuring ourselves in what we aren't rather than what we are. In August of 2004, I went to WW weighing 239 pounds. to celebrate my success may be a novel way of moving forward. Thanks for the reminder.
