2K13: 5K Goal
I guess I've been here for a year now. I had great success at the beginning, and then things fell apart. Life got in the way, and, frankly, sometimes you need to get the rest of your life back to normal. That's ok.
I've thought a lot about my goals for 2013. No resolutions here.
Really? I'd like to run a 5K. I don't run. I've run a bit in the past, but, well, stuff always happened. But now I look at the people around me who are doing it and think "yeah ... I can ...

So that's my big goal. Yes, I need to (and want to) lose weight and watch what I eat. And those go alongside it. But they won't be my focus. Truthfully, I've done better losing weight when losing weight WASN'T the main goal than when it was.

2. Do a better job managing my portions and my hunger.
3. Find an exercise routine I can stick with.
My Program:
Trying to stay within my calorie allotment by tracking here on SparkPeople.
I did really well with my exercise program until around the time I switched jobs. Can I get back to it is the question?
Personal Information:
Live in eastern MA, but originally from CT (the New York-end). Working Mom and wife.
Huge hockey fan. Love my Bruins! Also a football fan (Patriots & UMich), but not as in love with it as hockey!
Other Information:
Music has always been a passion. Sometimes I sing. Mostly I listen. The Weakerthans. Great Big Sea. The Decemberists. Nine Inch Nails. A bunch of others, but those are the constants.
