Live in northeastern Montana.

One of my Spark friends had this on his status (4/28/2016) -- THENEWMICHAEL "When it comes to measuring progress, the mirror is a better instrument than the scale."
WOW!!! That is something we all need to take to heart!

We all have a whoops day. Its what you do the day after that counts... Kaliswalker

"I'd rather cheat once a month than fall off the bandwagon and overeat everyday!" - Lynz on her Spark Montana blog

Baby steps. Leaping in wears you out. Then you quit. ~Indygirl

JOHAL52 is still in a holding pattern over life. But that's okay--sometimes holding patterns can lead to growth--it's up to me :) -- Her status for 2Aug11 -- A small comment that speaks volumes.

CATINCJ Never set your goals at some else's pace or evaluate your performance by someone else's standards. Added 2May13 from her feed that day.

My Goals:
To exercise more, get more toned, and get to a healthier weight. I would like to stave off any joint problems in legs and hips.

Another goal which I have is to get rid of a lot of the "stuff" I possess, way more than I need to have.

My Program:
Portion Control - although I haven't been real successful in doing this, I am more aware of what portions are and try to stick with them most of the time.

I use the nutrition tracker and follow no particular weight loss diet, just try to get more freggies, less carbs and fat. I have been customizing the "my favorites" list to include the foods I use the most. I have been also making use of the exercise tracker, getting at least 10 minutes of cardio every day. I try to do some strength trainig 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Northeastern Montana. I work more than full time at a desk job. I spend way too much time on the computer...

Jan, 2016 -- All of this still holds true.

Other Information:
Am a cat person. Like to knit, sew, quilt, garden -- but don't seem to get much of them done.

2/24/2013 -- Several fiber craft people have been meeting during lunch hour once a week to work on projects, visit, and show off our latest projects. We also share techniques when someone has a problem with their project. Some are also starting into spinning using drop spindles.

I've tried the monthly challenges you referred to in my blog in the past and for some reason, committing to a challenge in that way seems to defeat me. I do better tracking my goals in my journal than through the spark features. Took me a long time to figure that out and it seems counter productive to the norm but I give up easily it seems when I'm 'clicking' something on spark to show my streaks or goals. I know, its weird.

The smoke hasn't been bad in our area for the past few days. I'm sure it will be back though.

Thanks for always following me. I am hoping that when I get finished with the garden and procssing I can get back to the routine that allowed me to lose 20 pounds.

You're right, I did! And I got Lucy (who belongs to a FB friend, not a Sparkie), and left out the other Barb's Lillie! There are so many great pups out there... love 'em all!

Thanks for the blog love about the big bobbin. This is two similar dyed bits of fiber from two different dyers. I think it gives a depth of color to the entire skein!
