I'm 66! I'm working to get healthy and love my new walking routine! I feel much better! I bought a step counter and it's really encouraging to see progress on a meter! I started out counting my normal steps and started adding more steps to increase my count. A year ago I was not physically able to walk down the road! Little by little you can get your body physically active. It doesn't matter how few steps you take ...just add some to it everyday. Before you know it you will have increased energy and stamina. I hope by this time next year I have lost all the excess weight. I hope all of you have a great day and thank you for visiting my page! Much success to you in your weight loss journey!

Hi,my name is May. I am 65. I lost my husband in March 2013. It has been hard getting back to normal if there is such a thing. I'm trying to follow the SP diet as close as I can because they have already chosen a healthy diet for me. I am diabetic so that makes things more difficult but not impossible. I've been using SP nutrition tracking for the last few weeks and my blood glucose is getting close to normal range. I also take 5 mg of Glipizide each morning and 2000 mg daily of Metformin in addition to my diet. I hope to be able eventually to get off the medication as my weight drops. It seems like it is very hard to lose a pound but I'm losing! If I get hungry after a meal I try to eat a granola bar or something from my snack choices. I'm eating more carbs now than I have since I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2008. I've found that I can eat carbs and fruit. Previously I wouldn't eat fruits at all because I thought they would run my BS up! It's all about portion control and I measure everything to make sure I don't eat too much. I wish all of you and myself much success in our efforts to get to a healthy weight and lifestyle.
