Electrolytes! While there are magnesium powders and such that one can purchase, I find that the simple thing is to dissolve a little sugar and salt in some warm water, add lemon or lime juice and fill the glass with regular water.

This helps a lot when replenishing lost liquids, but you don't want to overly flush out your system with water - I've done that, especially when it's hot, and then the charlie horses come.

Thank you for your advice, I know it is heart felt. But because I have Meniere's Disease, I have both hearing loss and sensitivity to loud noise and repetitive noise. I haven't listened to music for years because I either don't understand it, because notes are lost and the ones I can hear do not sound like they did when I could hear normally AND on top of that much music is fast and repetitive. In fact, I have an ongoing problem with neighbors who play music and even the TV at loud volume. So loud in the middle of the night that I have had to remove my ear plugs, fumble around for my hearing aids and use my Caption Call phone to contact the police. I am really pathetic because although I can definitely hear noise, my disease robs me of the ability to tell police exactly WHICH tenant is making the noise and it's up to the cops to hear it when the arrive.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I carry a spare tube, tire levers, a hand pump, and a patch kit. The girl who had a flat had directions to fix the flat and 2 friends who knew how with her.
