    Melissa,
Thanks for the running shoes and the encouragement. The progress really gives me hope that I can have a healthier lifestyle! I just wish I was seeing the scale move. I've been stuck for a few weeks. Like you, I am thinking strength training is probably needed. Good luck with yours!

Nice to be in a group with you, Melissa! Looks like one of your friends happens to be my boyfriend! (probably from the Logger days, yeah?) Look forward to getting to know you!

I love a hearty bout of rare tropical disease, let me tell you. Lol, I'm definitely going to stock up on the bug spray but I'm actually allergic to sunscreen, believe it or not. Just developed that last year, took me forever to figure out what was causing me this horrific reaction. My last job was in the desert, and I couldn't wear sunscreen - 6 hours every day in the full glare of the desert sun, never burned. That's the italian in me, but I definitely am not looking forward to skin cancer. Thems the breaks I guess. emoticon

I'm going to pick up some Kashi TLC bars in Boston, thanks for the tip! I've been looking for a good feild snack idea. In the desert I ate nature valley honey oat bars (addictive), they're tasty but I think they're pretty high cal/carb.
