    MOOMSTEX, thanks for commenting on my blog! I love the idea of tracking emotions. I bought a Wizard of Oz (loved it as a kid, love it even more now) journal a few weeks ago and wanted to start journaling. All the pages are still blank. When I get in bed tonight I am going to write in it, I might even start writing in it my goals for the day. Thank you for your words of kindness and encouragement. emoticon

    Thanks for reading my blog. To answer your question, I do think it was the band that helped me. I have been on so many diets and lost weight but never was able to keep it off until I got the band. The proof of that is all of last year I really didn't have a lot of restriction and could eat just about anything and did. I gained but not nearly the amount I would have before banding. I only gained about 15 lbs in a whole year. I have been know to regain about 75 in half that time. The reason was even though I ate all the wrong things I couldn't eat as much. Of course the exercise helped me lose but more than anything it helped me firm up a little. If you don't feel full or have the feeling of satiation maybe you need and adjustment to your band. If you can eat more than a cup of the right food then you need an adjustment. The reason I said right food is because even if you have perfect restriction stuff like cookies, candy and ice cream will go right through with no problem. I can be completely stuffed and wait about 10 minutes and then eat all kinds of desserts but couldn't eat another bite of protein. Even after losing 120 pounds my back still hurts occasionally. But nothing like it did at 282. I can walk all over Six Flags without having to sit down every 15 minutes.

    I really hope your back problems do get better as you lose. Schedule an adjustment and make sure you are eating at lest 70 grams of protein and only about 50 grams of carbs. I would almost bet you will begin losing.

    Welcome to the Liberal Atheist Hippies group! I just thought that I would send you a personal welcome to our neighborhood and I dub thee a new full "Neighbor" in our neighborhood. I wish you the best and hope that your leg gets better as walking is a really good healthy thing to do. When I started walking in January of this year, I could not walk more than a block! Now, I walk every day for about 30 blocks or more with my dear Dante on his leash. It took me a few months to be able to do this and walking about an hour to 2 hours a day has been very good for me. Hang in there, OK?

    Oh, don't listen to DALAI LALA, she's crazy and none of us listen to her at all! LOL!!! (I hope she sees this or you can tell her what I said!!! LOL!)
