It is hard for me to believe but it has been 9 years since I found SparkPeople.
I have changed so much in that time that I am truly a different person. Nine years ago I was almost 200 lbs and only 5'3" and could barely walk my dog around the block. Now I regularly walk my dog a couple of miles, face down my treadmill daily and so much happier. I have made some really awesome friends in that time that have helped every step of the way. I hasn't always been easy and I haven't always stuck to the plan. I have lost weight and gained weight, but I still keep trying. I still learn from my mistakes.

I have done several 5% Challenges in my time here (I actually lost count), most of them I have been the Challenge Leader for the Starfish team. As the challenge leader I have to make sure the tracking thread is correct, so it makes sure that I am active and sparking on a regular basis. I hope that I can motivate others to keep with it.

When I am not Sparking, I am working as a full-time Environment, Health, and Safety professional for a chemical company, walking with awesome walking partners (my husband and my dog, Tucker), reading either a book or on my kindle , listening to music (especially Alt. Rock), or hanging with my friends. I am a huge Phillies fan, even when they are doing bad, and try to get to a couple of game every year.

To be healthy

1. To loss 8 lbs during the challenge
2. To log my food everyday
3. To record my exercise on the Starfish board everyday
4. To help the Starfish be the top team!
5. To visit at least 1 teammates page every day.

My Program:
1. control my portion size
2. drink my water
3. walk more
4. exercise most days of the week.

Personal Information:
I am currently living in the Lehigh Valley, PA wiht my DH and Doxie, Tucker.

Other Information:
I love reading paranormal Stuff and outdoor activities when the weather cooperates.

    Thanks for your comment on my blog. Your suggestions and support really help! Yesterday I packaged up some pre measured snacks in those little bags and didn't even eat them. Just knowing they were there really helped. I knew we were going to dinner with friends last night, so I held out until dinner. I even did better at dinner and had enough leftovers for 2 more meals! The support here at SP is phenomenal. I thank you so much for caring.
