Based upon my history I do not feel I can title this page "this time I will lose it for good " or anything along those lines. Even calling it "the millionth time's a charm" would be pushing it.

What I can say is that I am back and that I have a sincere desire to move forward in a different direction. I have the knowledge and I need to put it to use. For good. Forever. For the rest of my life.

I have struggled with my weight for all of my life which really probably isn't news to anyone who is here. I feel like I need to get things in order to be healthy for myself and for my children. Not really a news flash. What I need to figure out is what is holding me back from moving in the direction I need to. What has held me back for 14 years? What has held me back as I have shed and regained the same 40-50 pounds over the period of my adult life? What do I need to do/change to ensure that I spend MORE of my adult life healthy and fit than I did overweight and depressed? At almost 40 and having spent 18 years of my adult life overweight I need to turn things around pretty quickly or I won't be getting in the 19 years of fabulous living that I will need to shift the balance.

Aggh. That last paragraph has made me panic. It is going to be hard to reconcile the fact that I need to make small healthy changes that I can maintain in order to become a healthy me when "healthy me" needs to emerge as quickly as possible to meet the 19 year deadline.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Small steps in the right direction are better than no steps at all. Right?!

My Goals:
1. Lose 10 lbs by 7/17

2. Lose 20 lbs by 9/4

3. Lose 35 lbs by 11/1

4. Lose 50 lbs by 1/1/11

(An Overall Average of 1.666 lbs a week!)

My Program:
Transitioning to "Eating Clean". Using "Eat Clean Diet Recharged" as a guideline for meal planning. Embarking on a life-long plan to take a walk daily and do stretches and strength training per my physical therapist.

Personal Information:
Mommy to two. Wife to one. Working 8-5 outside of the home.

Other Information:
Goals for this week:

1. Re-read The Spark.

2. 20-30 min walk every day.

3. Drink 64 oz of H2O daily.

4. Purge pantry of processed foods.

    Thank you! Doin' pretty good out here :) They have a treadmill on board and I'm using it every other day......soon to be every day! I've been eating within my calorie range too, but on the high end.. Working on fixing that, but it's going to take a bit of time.. Still trying to figure out the snacking because meals are only every 8 hours and on my shift I only get one. I'm doing better than I expected though! Very, very thankful for this assignment instead of what I was supposed to get!! Hope all is going well with you :D

    Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day! I'm excited to be getting this different assignment :D It's all up to me now!!! I really hope that SOMEONE has an exercise bike or something on this boat! That will make a world of difference as to getting cardio in every day ;)

It's going to be GREAT :D I wish I was going to be home to have access to SP all summer :( AND so that I could take part in all of the awesome challenges you're going to come up with! I'll log in as often as possible, but won't be able to weigh myself until I get home from my contract.. I'm excited for this extra motivation! I need it!!!!
